In the middle of the exciting implementation phase of the project, the BaLSaM team was represented with three contributions at this year's DAGA, which took place together with the DAS in Copenhagen. The project partners ika, IHTA and HEAD acoustics presented current research results and offered exciting insights into their work as part of the project.
ika - “Analyzing Tire-Road Noise Influences Based on Component Level Measurements”
The ika presented a comprehensive parameter study dealing with the influences on tire noise. It was based on measurements on the tire test bench with the aim of analyzing and better understanding individual influencing variables in a differentiated manner.
IHTA - “Auralization of Vehicle Pass-By Using Impulse Responses of Dynamic Urban Environments”
The IHTA presented initial results from extensive series of measurements in which urban noise environments were mapped. A central focus was on the comparison between real test track measurements and measurements in a semi-anechoic chamber - both with a view to the auralizability of the data for the realistic simulation of pass-by noise.
HEAD acoustics - “Evaluation of Stress in Response to Traffic Noise Using Virtual Reality”
HEAD acoustics provided insights into the preliminary investigations of a planned hearing study, which will be carried out using a specially developed VR framework. The focus here is on initial findings on the effect of traffic noise on the perception of stress - with an exciting outlook on the extensive main study in the coming weeks.
The corresponding conference papers are expected to be published at the end of April and will then also be linked here.We are delighted about the great interest and the exciting feedback from the conference!
